Hi, I'm Steph!
I live in Northern Indiana, where unpredictable weather keeps Hoosiers inside several days out of the year. I have always been encouraged to find creative ways to occupy my time (Thanks, Mom!), and things have evolved into one big project: a career in creative freelance. A strong believer that the world would be a better place if more people were doing what they love, I took the leap, left my day job as a paralegal, and created Bent Tree Studios as an outlet for doing what I love, sharing it with the world, and encouraging others to do the same.
When ordering from BTS, you'll be working with me from start to finish. That's the beauty of handmade and ordering from an independent artist. Questions? Special requests? I'm your girl the whole way through.
Outside the studio, if you're quick enough, you might catch me snowboarding, kayaking, camping, traveling, volunteering, thrifting, roaming the streets of Chicago, biking, kickboxing, and collecting other various hobbies. I also spent last summer setting up and managing weddings. Sometimes I can't believe I'm allowed to have this much fun.
